  1. I have wondered about this picture since I first saw it as the cover for your book "Deja Vu in a Dream". Phantom is a favorite of mine from the cheesy movie I first saw as a kid to the theater production. You have to go to the theater to truly enjoy the music and the chandelier crashing down. Hmmm...Wonder when Phantom will be in SLC again?

  2. Dear PHANTOM fan, Years ago, I designed a set for a production of the musical in New Jersey. I did the original sketch of the Phantom for a flyer, but it was never used because the producer thought it too "spooky" for his audience, so I followed with a more romantic version. I later turned the unused flyer into an oil painting. Good show! Thanks.

  3. Too spooky? Phantom is spooky! My first thought when I saw the picture was the ghost of an old sea captain but I love anything that has to do with the sea.

    1. Me too. Especially ghost ships--those legendary drifters with no one aboard. I always want to know what happened.

    2. Yes! A few years ago I was lucky enough to stay at Heceta Head Lightstation in Oregon. It's well known for being haunted and we were not disappointed. If I'm near or on the ocean life is good.

    3. Why is it that T. St. Laurent got all of the amazing talent and I inherited gambling? I often wonder where did all of this writing, painting, designing, and creating talent come from and, yes, I wish I had some of it! LAM
